These images are taken from a large piece that I am working on which considers the way in which
- women develop themselves physically.
- Expectations of women from a male perspective
- The way that the mass media projects the ideals of femininity and desire
- Sewing as a traditional female pastime
- the stereotype of the housewife meets the sexually objectified woman.
- Self worth
- black and white as reference both to the dawning of colour in film explored in red shoes, and as a method in which to convey a sense of the traditional expectations of women vs the more objectified
